Jo Westcott, DVM

With a background in Emergency Med, Dr. Westcott brings her knowledge and joy of Internal Medicine to Hawks Prairie Veterinary Hospital.  And we are so glad she has!  As one of our longest running vets, most clients have met her, or at least know of "Dr. Jo" and her wild stories. 

Born and raised in Vermont, Dr. Westcott made her way West as a young adult.  Settling here in the Pacific NorthWest she spent her time doing SAR, raising four absolutely wonderful children, working her 'homestead', making her own wine, and enjoying good food (tacos are her favorite).  By the way, she did raise those children while finishing school!  Now that's hard work and dedication. 

Now you are more likely to find her out in the field still doing SAR, or relaxing in her hot tub surrounded by her pack of crazy dogs.  Quill (dignified meathead), Red Rocket (Crazy Frenchie who thinks he's a mastiff), and Whiz (SAR dog in training).
